Perseids 2026: the year of the new Moon

Active from 17 July to 24 August, peaking in the early hours of 12-13 August. The theoretical ZHR is 100 — in practice, under a dark sky, that translates to roughly 50-75 visible meteors per hour. The radiant sits in Perseus (α 48°, δ +58°), entering at 59 km/s.
